Emma Rymell
Emma qualified as a Solicitor in 1998 and having gained a wealth of experience and an excellent reputation working solely in Family Law for over 20 years at a firm where she was a Director and Head of Department acting for clients both in the local area and the wider Midlands region, we were delighted that Emma chose to join the Family department at Cocks Lloyd at the start of January 2020.
As a member of Resolution (previously the Family Law Association) Emma is committed to dealing with Family Law matters in a non – confrontational manner always striving to achieve the best possible outcome for each client. Emma prides herself on achieving a high level of client satisfaction and has built a reputation for being extremely approachable, honest and a fair, yet firm and determined negotiator. Emma receives a high number of recommendations and praise from previous clients and professional colleagues due to her robust and thorough approach whilst reassuring client’s with her patience, empathy and unwavering support from the initial advice meeting to the closure of the case.
Emma has over 25 years of experience dealing with a wide range of Family Law issues and specialises in advising clients in relation to financial issues associated with a relationship breakdown, whether married, cohabiting or in a civil partnership including the division of property, savings and pensions, Emma also has extensive experience advising in more complex cases involving businesses and high value assets. Emma also has extensive experience representing parents and grandparents in relation to disputes concerning child arrangements. For those client’s that are entering into, or in the early stages of a relationship, Emma offers advice on the merits of entering into a Cohabitation or Pre-Nuptial Agreements.
