Common Questions About Notary Public Services
How Does Our Notary Public Service Work?
Upon your initial enquiry about Notary Public services, we will ask about the nature of the document, the number of documents needing notarisation, the purpose of notarisation, and whether the documents need legalisation by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) or a specific Consulate.
Gathering this information and reviewing the documents will enable us to provide an accurate quote.
At your appointment, after payment, please bring two forms of identification:
- A current passport or driving licence
- A bank statement or utility bill (dated within the last three months)
The structure of your appointment will depend on the type of document being verified. We understand the importance of a swift service, especially in emergencies or urgent travel situations. We will explain everything in advance of the meeting to ensure a smooth process.
What Are the Fees for Notary Public Services?
The minimum charge for notarising a single document is £100*.
Due to the varying nature and complexity of some matters, it is not always possible to provide a definitive estimate of costs for Notary Public services. We aim to provide the best possible information on costs from the outset and discuss any changes to the fee should they occur during the process. Kuljeet Sandhu charges an hourly rate of £265 (no VAT applicable, and this fee is subject to change). If detailed instructions are required, including drafting and/or amending documents, this hourly fee will apply.
I Do Not Live in Nuneaton. Can You Still Represent Me?
Our Nuneaton-based legal team regularly supports clients across the UK, not only those in Nuneaton, Kenilworth, Tamworth, Hinckley, Bedworth, and Leicester, Warwickshire, and the Midlands. Distance will not affect our ability to provide effective advice or representation.
Please be aware that your documents, in addition to notarisation, may need legalisation by the UK Consulate and/or the Consulate of the receiving country. You will need to check with the receiving jurisdiction or foreign Consulate to determine if legalisation is required.
We can arrange UK legalisation of documents from the FCO to obtain an Apostille on your notarised document via an agent, or we can refer you to a local agent should you prefer to handle this yourself.
Some documents may require translation, and additional disbursement costs will apply.
